Travels to Middle East for 16 months. Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. Works on several archeological digs and historic restoration/preservation projects.

1985

Graduates Florida State University BS

1986

Moves back to NYC, finds a job as Studio Manager for EverGreene Studios, a mural, historic restoration and decorative painting company. Studies materials, techniques and design for 8 years while studio manager.

1993

Starts Terra Firma Inc., a design build company. Focusing on design, public art and craft installations, restoration of historic building practices, material sciences, prototypes and custom furniture. In 12 years grows to a 15 person studio.

1994

Designs and completes interior for Mallin Residence “carriage house” Geenwich Village NYC; *published in House & Garden British edition March 1997, “Surreal Estate – Arts and Crafts Apartment”

1995

Designs and completes feature wall installation 30’ x 60’ Fidelity Investments Rockefeller Center NYC; Gensler

1996

Designs and completes commission for 125 Park avenue NYC lobby feature wall 14’ x 40’ plaster and pigment Fresco “Rail-Scape;” Newmark Real Estate Services

1997

Completes restoration of the exterior and interior of the Charles Scribner and Son Building on Manhattans 5th avenue; The Phillips Group article in New York Times October 6, 1996 by Christopher Gray; Interior Design September 1997 “Design by Detection.”

1998

Moves studio to Chelsea Market NYC; Wins graphic design commission “White on White” and builds 8,000 square foot temporary construction barricade facade for Sotheby’s Auction House and Headquarters NYC.

1999

Designs and completes feature reception sculpture for Water Quality Insurance Syndicate NYC; “Ships Hull” pigmented plaster and cement

1990

Collaborates with sculpture Collin Chase and completes “Birds in Flight,” on glass façade at Queens Hospital, for one percent for art; Silk Screen Emulsion Installation Authored article and contributed sculpture work images “Urban Fossils #41 – 44” to book by Peter Buchanan-Smith, “Speck #1.” Princeton Architectural Press Group Exhibit, Annual “Bring Home a Nude” NY Academy of Art Awarded commission for Cartier 5th Avenue NYC; Recreates historic ornamental castings, cornice and freeze; design and produce bar relief installation “Library;” Butler Rogers Baskett Architects

Filed for Design Patten on modular block building and sculpture system “Pi Blox”. Prototype of Pi Blox is successfully realized.

2006

Awarded commission, Madison Equities, for Marriot Hotel NYC 92nd Street Lobby; Designs and completes 16 Fresco Murals, “Water Reflections 1-16.”

2007

Eberling Private Commission Tacoma Washington Residence; sculpture in wood. After successfully designing several specialty projects as part of the Rockwell team from 2005-2007; leaves Rockwell Group to pursue several large commission pieces.

2008

Designs and completes 4 - 9’ wood carving sculptures “Tree 1-4” for One River House, Battery Park NY Residential Lobby; Sheldrake Organization, Sunshine Group and Rockwell Group. Leads design team for Ted Moudis Associate to win Atlantic Philanthropies new NYC offices.

2009

Designs and completes 8 wood interior architecture/sculpture installations for Ink 48 Hotel Lobby NYC; Kimpton Hotels, Rockwell Group Removes 10 downed trees from Natirar Spa property in Somerset NJ to be used in phase 1 commission work in 2010.

2010

Designs, starts and will complete phase 1 sometime late 2010; 4 wood sculpture installations “Off Cut #’s 2-5” and several “Tree Editions” for Natirar Spa and 90 Acre culinary retreat and restaurant in Somerset NJ; Virgin Spas, Rockwell Group. Will be lecturing at Natirar Spa about the sustainability and future of wood art, craft and the work at Natirar.
